and you don't care that the search engines can't even read your
content, then that's great for you. But if you are looking for a

the over-use of certain "Cool" features.
The top 4 biggest mistakes are using flash websites, large
flash on your home page, Javascript based flash and essentially
anything that moves, changes color and is Javascript based.
No I did not say you can't use it in moderation. Why you ask?
Because the search engines when they come to index your pages
simply cannot read code. So the real key is to have 10% or
less in code in relationship to text content on your web pages.

engines to not even visit that webpage or website.

Website. It was pretty, very cool to watch and for two years her
webmaster continued to try to get it to be indexed by the search
engines and she just could not understand why her website did
not generate one sale. Duhhh.... Flash websites are like movies.
It's animation, text, images, video, audio all rendered into a
single flash movie that the search engine cannot read or see. So
you might as well consider yourself out of business to those
searching for your products or services online. Now if you
had a strong offline advertising campaign, then you need not
concern yourself about trying to bring in online business.
Unless, of course there is no real offline advertising that you
are participating in.
Leads and Sales Come From Content
Someone once told me that sales and leads come from people
that are looking for content. They are looking to find a
particular product or service. They want as much information as
possible and they want to feel assured that you can provide what
they want.
Having good content does two good things for you. It helps
the customer make a decision to leave their contact information
or buy from you and it helps the search engines recognize that
you are a quality website and will give you higher page
rankings. So if you can be seen by online shoppers looking for
your product or service, that would be a good thing, Yes?
